156 Biocritical Homes
Passive, bioclimatic and nZEB building
The urbanization incorporates, among others, a pneumatic waste collection system and includes the planting of native plant species with reduced water consumption. The building incorporates sustainable systems of hot water production, such as thermal solar panels, to ensure the responsible consumption of resources.
The 156 homes are distributed in two parallel blocks with internships and intelligent orientation criteria (north-south). Thus, the gains from sunshine and the ventilation as well as protection from the sun in summer are optimized. To achieve this, active regulatory elements have been incorporated, such as thermal galleries, sunscreens, the use of vegetation or adiabatic cooling by means of water sheets and a high level of insulation.
